USS Cleveland CL-55 Reunion Association

As background information, I was a Firecontrolman aboard the USS Norman Scott DD690 when the USS Cleveland CV 55 came to our rescue off Tinian Island on 24 July, 1944. Also, for many years after WWII, I worked with the wife of one of the Officers of the Cleveland. His name was James Busbee. His wife, by the way, is still living.

I communicated with some crewmembers of the USS Colorado BB45. Some of their crew did not know that your ship was the one who came to their, and our, aid that day.

This is curiosity, more than anything else, but if you have time I would like to hear from you.
